Description
The varietally distinct aromatic spectrum invokes chocolate truffle dusting, white cherries, musk, red liquorice, fresh pomegranate, hibiscus, bread and butter pudding, cinnamon with savoury notes of caper and green olive. A succulent mouthfeel with abundant freshness. Cherries are consistent from the nose to the palate. Saffron, coffee bean, sarsaparilla and cola creaminess add to the to the textural interest, almost certainly oak derived elements that soften and encapsulates the tannins.
Tasting Notes:
Color: Blackberry red with a plum rim.
Nose: Exotic aromatic spices are lifted and enticing, complementing the bright fruit notes of red berries and ripe plums. There are notes of fresh cream and wild strawberries with a hint of cocoa powder.
Palate: The soft and fresh palate showcases the bright red fruit characters of South Australian Shiraz. Fresh plums, ripe cherries and hints of pomegranate. There is a creamy richness to the palate with textural soft tannins providing a supportive frame for this generous wine.
