Description
Varietal complexity evident. Fruit beautifully framed by refined oak. While it may be a lighter bodied wine, it certainly isn’t lacking in complexity. Noted, a chinotto, amaro, negroni like bitterness... simply delicious. Cranberry and rhubarb provide a balancing sweet/sour element. A seamless wine with lovely tension, plenty of succulence, mouth-watering acidity, well integrated ultra-fine tannins. Savoury oak derived spices: cardamon & coriander seed adding a final flourish.
Tasting Notes:
Color: Red - bright, silky, light-bodied
Palate: The first sip reveals dark cherry and strawberry with layers of gamey notes. A texturally creamy wine with cherry stone acidity dancing a fine line across the palate. Subtle oak cradles the fruit and keeps the wine fresh and bright.
