Description
This 23-year-old whisky, distilled the year Dr Bill Lumsden first joined Glenmorangie, is crafted from an innovative assemblage of rare whiskies, matured in ex-bourbon casks and Oloroso sherry casks. Both of these
unite with a third experimental parcel finished for more than a decade in prestigious Margaux red wine casks.
Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Deep and generous, with scents of butter popcorn and toffee
apples enriched by nutmeg and baking bread. Then cinnamon and clove surge forward, with a hint of chocolate.
A few drops of water bring an abundance of honey and baked fruits, coated in more milk chocolate, before Glenmorangie’s citrus and vanilla hallmarks emerge in scents of clementine and creamy fudge
Taste: Peppery textures bring a coolness to the palate, ushering in tastes of clove and further toffee apples, with cocoa, mint and a dusting of lemon sherbet
Finish: Citrus notes linger, zesty and bittersweet, then fade into red berries and pear crumble, with a whisper of oak
