Antinori Solaia 2018

Solaia 2018 is an intense ruby red color. Its nose offers intense notes of dark, ripe fruit in particular blueberries and black currants that merge seamlessly with pleasant sensations of dried flowers and lavender, accompanied by delicate spicy notes of white pepper and balsamic notes of mint and eucalyptus.

The 2018 vintage is a classic expression of Solaia with great character and identity. The varieties thrived under excellent conditions and had ample time to full ripen with each grape variety fully expressing its own distinctive characteristics and those of the exceptional terroir where they were grown. Structure, style, and richness give Solaia 2018 an impressive flavor profile that can be enjoying immediately but also has great aging potential in the bottle for years to come with promising and unquestionable prospects for its evolution. Aging took place in new French oak barrels for approximately 18 months.
